Ans) Small farmers along  with their families cultivate their own field. Thus, they provide the labours required for farming themselves.They were called farm labourers. 

Medium and large farmers hire them to work on their fields. Farm labourers do not have right over the crops grown on the land. They are paid wages by the farmer for whom they work. They are paid their wages in cash or in kind e.g crop.

Ans) The factors of production are land, labour, capital and enterprise. 

Q10) How is land distributed between the farmers of palampur? 

 Ans) People engaged in agriculture do not have sufficient land for cultivation. Thus, land are divided by following ways-

About 240 families cultivate small plots of land less than 2 hectares in size. 

About 60 families of medium and large farmers who cultivate more than 2 hectares of land.
